I'm building TheThroughLine.AI to share what AI cannot know.

AI knows public information. It does not know the unwritten context inside Goldman Sachs, KKR, ServiceNow, Tuck, or Harvard Kennedy School. I share that context with students and young professionals from marginalized communities, so you can use it alongside AI.

Education

Where I study business and policy

At Tuck, I study business and technology. At Harvard Kennedy School, I study AI policy and governance.

The Founder's Bridge

What I saw led me to build TheThroughLine.AI.

My work inside firms showed me how much useful context stays out of reach. Here is the problem I set out to address.

From insider context to public access

The gap

Public information is not the full picture.

AI can summarize what is public. It cannot give you the unwritten context behind decisions inside firms and schools. Students and young professionals from marginalized communities often have to make those decisions without an insider network.

What I saw

Inside Goldman Sachs, KKR, and ServiceNow, teams rely on context that never appears in a search result.

What I built in response

TheThroughLine.AI shares that context through articles, research, and video. TheDirectLine gives you a way to ask better questions.

The Product

TheThroughLine.AI

I built an AI-native digital media platform for students and young professionals from marginalized communities. Its products are the articles, research, and videos I publish.

TheDirectLine

TheDirectLine is the AI tool of TheThroughLine.AI. You will build off the articles, research, and videos, plus interviews with top operators, founders, and academics, to shape your AI skills and ask better questions. It is in development at the Harvard Innovation Labs. I iterate and stress-test it weekly.

Product Management Case Study

TheThroughLine.AI: published and reviewed each week.

I built this digital media platform to share context you cannot get from public information alone. I publish articles, research, and short-form video. Here is how I produce and review each piece, and what I can measure today.

Problem

AI cannot give you the context it cannot access.

AI can summarize what is public. It cannot give you the unwritten context inside Goldman Sachs, KKR, Tuck, or Harvard Kennedy School. If you lack an insider network, you get information without the context to decide what to study, apply to, or build next.

Problem statement

You can read public information. You still need the context behind decisions inside firms and schools.

ICP

Students and young professionals from marginalized communities.

You should be able to act on what you read without an insider network.

The original workflow

I used to move each idea across platforms by hand.

  1. Step 1

    Idea

Pick the week’s thesis from what I’m seeing and hearing.

  2. Step 2

    Research

Read sources, pull quotes, build the argument manually.

  3. Step 3

    Long-form draft

Write the full piece end to end.

  4. Step 4

    Repurpose ×5

Rewrite by hand for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Substack, and the site.

  5. Step 5

    Publish by hand

Upload, caption, and schedule on each platform separately.

Friction points

Where I lost time

FrictionRoot causeImpact
Research is the longest stepSources sit in different places, so I gather and compare them manuallyDelays the whole week. Drafting starts late
Rewriting one idea for each platform takes timeEach platform needs a different formatMore manual writing for each piece
Publishing across platforms is manualNo shared publishing layer between the channelsUploads can slip when I am unavailable
No single view of performanceMetrics live inside each platform’s own dashboardI cannot compare which topics people respond to

The AI-enabled redesign

AI helps draft. I decide what ships.

  1. Step 1

    Idea

    Editorial direction stays mine.

  2. Step 2

    AI research synthesis

AI summarizes sources and flags contradictions for me to check.

  3. Step 3

    AI first draft

AI drafts the long-form article from my topic and sources.

  4. Step 4

    AI platform versions

I adapt one idea for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Substack.

  5. Step 5

    Human review & publish

I edit every piece, then publish each platform myself.

Editorial prompt example

You are helping me write for students and young
professionals from marginalized communities.

Topic: How AI agents change entry-level finance work.
Sources: ServiceNow AI agent documentation and
my notes from a platform launch.

1. Summarize what the sources agree and disagree on.
2. Write a 900-word draft that ends in one action
the reader can take this week.
3. Then produce platform cuts from the SAME thesis:
   - Instagram: 5-slide carousel, 1 line per slide
   - TikTok: 45-second script, hook in first 3 seconds
   - YouTube: 60-second script + title
   - Substack: subject line + 60-word preview
Plain language. No jargon. Flag anything you are
not confident is factual.

Illustrative input

Topic: How AI agents could change entry-level finance work. Sources: ServiceNow AI agent documentation and notes from a platform launch.

Illustrative output

A draft explains how AI agents could change entry-level finance work. It suggests one action: choose a tool in your target field and learn to check its output. I would verify every claim and edit the draft before publishing.

What stays human

I choose, edit, and publish every piece.

Editorial direction

I pick the topic based on what I have learned and what you ask. AI does not pick it for me.

Final edits

I check each claim and edit each piece before you see it.

The publish step

I publish to each platform myself. No draft goes live without my review.

Impact

What changed in the workflow

Before

I researched, drafted, and adapted each idea for every channel by hand.

Now

AI helps me research and make first drafts. I verify the sources, edit each version, and publish it myself.
